Billy's Birthday. He is 5. Yikes!

Our family campout a few weeks ago. Fun!

Too Fast

During the past two weeks, all I can think is Slow down. The kids are growing and changing way too fast. I wish I could freeze time for awhile. As a little girl (and teenager), I would dream of my life at this time. Now it is here, I love it even though it is hard. I am so said to see it go by fast. I absolutely hate school. I hate that it takes my kids from me. I wish I had a camera so I could watch them grow and experience learning. Madi loves school even the school lunch. I still get the social update from her but she is really loving math also. Billy loves to learn. He is totally enjoying learning to read now. Aubree is missing both of them. She loves to do homework just like them. Brigham is so good. He is sleep about 8 hours a night is on a good routine during the day. He is getting blessed on Sunday and I am already emotional. I know the power of the priesthood and how much it is needed. Our yard is done for the most part. We are all glad. Life is good and way too fast.

Yard, Yard, Yard

Will the work ever end?

Time Flys

I can't believe it has been two months since Brig was born. He is so sweet. Last night I sat and watched him kick and throw his arms and coo for a good 20 minutes. He is getting so busy but not controling his limbs very well yet. He is also getting so smily. Although four has been a huge adjustment for me, he is worth it all. He feel our home with so much love and happiness. I am always glad when I have a new baby because it reminds me just how precious the moments are and how little time we have with our children. I look at Madi and can't believe she is six. She has hit the silly little girl stage of giggling and will do just about anything for a smile. She is so carefree and confident. Yesterday was her piano recital and it didn't bother her at all to be on stage. Billy is a different super hero everyday. He is always using his imagination to be the tough guy. Aubree is both Madi and Billy's best friend. I can't tell which she enjoys more the girly stuff or the boy games. She loves our swings. They have grown so fast. I already think what I would give to see Madi and Billy little again. My new motto is "I will always have things to clean and do, but I won't always have babies and children to hold and love"

Potty Talk

Aubree did it. She is potty trained. We started last Monday. She got the basic idea by that night. We had two days of "I don't want to" Then a day or two of "Only mommy help" Then it all calmed down and went smoothed. As of Monday (1 week) She now takes herself to the potty and does it all by herself. She even comes in from outside or if she is playing with someone. I can even go to the store and everything. I am so grateful. She has changed a lot since Brigham. No more pacifier and potty trained. I am so happy and so sentimental about it all. She is amazing. What a big blessing.

Just venting

I love being a mom but it always has its ups and downs. Well today I can't seem to get my focus on the ups. So here is my list of hard things just to get it out of my system and move on to the good.
- a stomach that will never be the same
- kids competing with each other over everything
- bad hair (always)
- the words "mom, I don't want to"
- Infant stomach aches
- Never ending discipline
- most of all the hormones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for a few of the good things
- smiles
- hugs
- the words "Mom I love you"
- first smiles, reading, words, and all the others
- messy toy rooms full of giggles and laughs
- dirty kids full of energy and running through the house to a bath
- the words "mom you are the best"
- the words "okay mom I will do it"
- playing make believe
- learning to be a kids again
- cuddling and reading picture books
- eating ice cream
- seeing life through your child's eyes
There are too many good ones. I just need control of the hormones. The venting is done. Now its time to be the all encompassing word MOM again

We are under construction in our new home already. Lance is in the processes of putting in a walkout basement. It has put dirt and dust everywhere. The kids love it. What more could they want dirt, rocks, and more dirt. We are also putting in cement pads for a patio and driveway. Then the fence, sprinklers, playset and grass. It sounds so overwhemling but it is coming together so fast. We only started on Wednesday and it looks so good.

Brigham is here as most of you know. He was born almost three weeks ago on June 13. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. It was an easy delivery except for being so tired from trying to unpack and set everything up the week of the delivery. Yes that is correct. We now are in our house. So the past few weeks have been an adjustment between a new wonderful addition to our family and a house. I feel like things are starting to be a little more normal. I am also finally healing from the yeast infection and stuff. So life is good. THe kids and I our also getting a routine. Brigham is so good. He sleep 4 to 5 hours then 3 to 4 more hours. I pray it stays so I can adjust but for now it is good. Madi, Billy, and Aubree adore him. However, they are so tired of being in the house. Lance is working really hard to get a yard for them. I feel bad poor Lance has more than anyone can handle between the house, me, kids, work, work, and yard. It is terrible. But as usually he doesn't seem too worried or concerned. In fact, when he is in the yard working he is happier. Crazy I know. All is busy and good here. Thanks for everyones help and support. We couldn't have done it without all of you.

Graduations

Well it has been fun going to see the kindergarten graduation and preschool gradution. It is fun to see what they learned and hear all the cute songs. At Billy's graduation, He was loud and off key as usual but it made it so fun because I knew it was him. He wasn't shy or timid at talking and did awesome. Madilynn was talking to every child around her. She could care less about what was going on. I think it will be the same way when she graduations in 2021. That is a crazy thought 2021. Aubree copied all the actions and tried to sing the songs at Billy's it was really cute.

Birthday

Yesterday was my birthday. It was great. Thank you to everyone for your presents, thoughts, and efforts. It is crazy to think that I am 30 but I guess with child number 4 on the way it is a good thing. I got a present yesterday that I thought I would never get. Nice matching plates, bowls and glass. I am sure not a big deal to most of you but for me it was great. I think the best part of my day was listening to Billy tell everyone it was my birthday so "be nice to my mom" Madilynn made up a song and sang to me. Aubree just kept hugging and kissing me and saying Happy Birthday mom. Lance was awesome and spent the night shopping and listening to all my stories of the kids funny things. It was great.

House? Really?

So it finally is happening (i think). We are finally getting a house. We entered a contract on Monday but it has taken this long for me to realize that it is really happening. It is still weeks out (june 8th til we close) but we are excited. It is in Lehi and beautiful. I guess we really needed it with four kids right. We won't have furniture but a house and hopefully a yard a.s.a.p. I am excited but stressed. WE move in right before the baby comes on June 13th. It will be crazy but good. I feel so humbled lately with the amount of blessings we are receiving it is overwhelming and well I am pregnant so often my prayers are full of tears of gratitude. I am really gratful for three almost four healthy happy obedient children. the most wonderful husband I could have. Most of all I am grateful for my savior and the gospel. I am truely grateful for a house but the eternal blessing we have are to be the most important and truely humbling blessings I could possibly have. They are may tear jerkers that bring me to my knees.

It is all okay

I had an ultrasound yesterday to make sure the placenta had moved. I am very thankful that it has. So we are good for the induction on June 13th. He was really cute during the ultrasound they took some 3D pictures of his face. We also saw hair and him drinking the amniotic fluid. It was cute to see him pucker his lips also. We saw his wrinkly skin too. It was so amazing. I am way excited and the kids are too. They thought being able to see pictures was amazing.

Worms

The joys of little boys. Billy was so upset today until we looked for bugs. He was so over joyed with the discovery of worms. He grinned and laughed and screamed so much the girls got in on the fun. The best part was watching Dad dig and all the kids huddle around the dirt waiting for it to move. I loved it.
Lance got a backpack for scouts. Aubree loved it and tried it out. It was so cute.

Uno

The kids have really loved playing games lately. I love watching Lance teach them to play. They all enjoy it. Uno it their favorite. Uno is good for Aubree because she is learning colors and Billy is really working is number recognition. Madi has to read the cards. It is really good for them to play and learn. Plus it is fun family bonding. I have decided to get over my hesitiation for games. They are not my favorite but I seem to enjoy it every time. I also like how we grow closer. So we may become a game family after all.

Unwanted Hair Cut

Tonight at dinner, we discovered a horrible things. Lance gave Aubree a hug and when she moved away he was covered in her hair. He said "She is shedding what is wrong?" I examined her head to find where Billy had scalped her. Just at the crown but there is not any hair. Apparently, while Madilynn and I were at paino lessons Billy asked to cut some paper. Lance said no. Well Billy used Aubree instead. I am happy to say at least I wasn't in charge. I am frightened for when it grows in because she has crazy hair as it is and now it will all be different lenghts. Anyways, it is sad but done with.

St George

We were invited to go to St. George with my brother and his family. So we did it. We loved the warm weather it was fabulous. Billy loved the hiking and digging in dirt. He loved it all until Lance found a scorpion. That wasn't the funnest. He loved playing with his cousing Eli. He told me he is my best friend. Billy doesn't get a lot of time with other boys so this was a dream vacation with all boy cousins and dirt and rocks to climb. Madilynn loved to swim and play in the dirt. She did really well with keeping up the boys and not complaining. She loved the new clothes I bought at the outlets. Aubree was happy with every thing except she had a hard time being away from her bed. Aubree was cute to watch swim with just her swimming wings. She would step off the last stair and start running to tread water it was adorable. I just loved being with my family. It was extra nice not to have Lance on the phone at all. I don't know how that happend but I got him all weekend and no work phone calls. It was simply relaxing, warm, and fun.
