Potty Talk

Aubree did it. She is potty trained. We started last Monday. She got the basic idea by that night. We had two days of "I don't want to" Then a day or two of "Only mommy help" Then it all calmed down and went smoothed. As of Monday (1 week) She now takes herself to the potty and does it all by herself. She even comes in from outside or if she is playing with someone. I can even go to the store and everything. I am so grateful. She has changed a lot since Brigham. No more pacifier and potty trained. I am so happy and so sentimental about it all. She is amazing. What a big blessing.

Just venting

I love being a mom but it always has its ups and downs. Well today I can't seem to get my focus on the ups. So here is my list of hard things just to get it out of my system and move on to the good.
- a stomach that will never be the same
- kids competing with each other over everything
- bad hair (always)
- the words "mom, I don't want to"
- Infant stomach aches
- Never ending discipline
- most of all the hormones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for a few of the good things
- smiles
- hugs
- the words "Mom I love you"
- first smiles, reading, words, and all the others
- messy toy rooms full of giggles and laughs
- dirty kids full of energy and running through the house to a bath
- the words "mom you are the best"
- the words "okay mom I will do it"
- playing make believe
- learning to be a kids again
- cuddling and reading picture books
- eating ice cream
- seeing life through your child's eyes
There are too many good ones. I just need control of the hormones. The venting is done. Now its time to be the all encompassing word MOM again

We are under construction in our new home already. Lance is in the processes of putting in a walkout basement. It has put dirt and dust everywhere. The kids love it. What more could they want dirt, rocks, and more dirt. We are also putting in cement pads for a patio and driveway. Then the fence, sprinklers, playset and grass. It sounds so overwhemling but it is coming together so fast. We only started on Wednesday and it looks so good.

Brigham is here as most of you know. He was born almost three weeks ago on June 13. He weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. It was an easy delivery except for being so tired from trying to unpack and set everything up the week of the delivery. Yes that is correct. We now are in our house. So the past few weeks have been an adjustment between a new wonderful addition to our family and a house. I feel like things are starting to be a little more normal. I am also finally healing from the yeast infection and stuff. So life is good. THe kids and I our also getting a routine. Brigham is so good. He sleep 4 to 5 hours then 3 to 4 more hours. I pray it stays so I can adjust but for now it is good. Madi, Billy, and Aubree adore him. However, they are so tired of being in the house. Lance is working really hard to get a yard for them. I feel bad poor Lance has more than anyone can handle between the house, me, kids, work, work, and yard. It is terrible. But as usually he doesn't seem too worried or concerned. In fact, when he is in the yard working he is happier. Crazy I know. All is busy and good here. Thanks for everyones help and support. We couldn't have done it without all of you.
